He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger F. Gibbs, Sr. and Carolyn Johnson Turner; his wife Carol Gibbs; and his sons, Joshua Meadows Gibbs of Lexington and Jeffrey Gibbs.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Connie Caudill; his children, James Gibbs of Augusta, Stephen Gibbs of Augusta, Carla Gibbs-Singh of Maysville and Yasmarie Gibbs of Maysville; his grandchildren, Messiah, Joshua, Zachariah, Chance, Kai, Kasten, Briley and Braylon; his siblings, Roger Gibbs, Jr. of Maysville, Elizabeth Gibbs of Augusta and Kendall Franklin of Cincinnati; his nieces, Kathryn Reed, Whitney Arthur, Shanice Lang and Jayda Gibbs; and his nephew Robert Lang, III.
