He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Tierney and Margaret Osborne Tierney. He is survived by: his wife Martha Slattery Tierney; his children, Kitty Tierney of Maysville, Michael Tierney (Beth) of New Carlisle and Chad Tierney (Christi) of Lafayette, Indiana.; his grandchildren, Allison, Macaria, Reed, Caelen and Kate Tierney; his nephew Mark Tierney (Pamela); his nieces, Ann Harvey (Tom), Holly Tierney and D'Ann Carpenter; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Erin Dickman, Grace, Ella Tierney, Ryan, Emily Harvey and Patrick Carpenter. He is also survived by friends and telling stories of his adventures with his brothers and cousins.
