He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Clarkson and Pauline Furlong Clarkson; his wife Alexine Dillon Clarkson; and his siblings, John Louis, Robert, Alma Rowady and Betty Kearney.
He is survived by: his children, James Dillon Clarkson (Joanne) of Independence, KY, Susan Grover Hixenbaugh (David) of Florence, KY and Paula Ann McGee (Robert) of Cincinnati, OH; and also Barbara Payne.
