She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Markwell and Pattie Garnett Crain; her son-in-law David Throckmorton; and the father of her children John Shanklin. She is survived by: her husband John Shanklin; her daughters, Mollie Appelman (David) and Lori Shanklin; her grandchildren, Andrew Appelman (Erika), Amy McCord (Adam) and Clark Throckmorton (Veronica); her great grandchildren, Andi Renee Appelman, Clint Alexander McCord, Kendra Throckmorton, Kenton Throckmorton, Elijah Saylor and Hailey Throckmorton; and her close friend Janice Allison. She is also survived by her parents, husband, children, family, friends, neighbors, and her pets.
