He is survived by: his father Frank Thornton, Sr.; his wife Susie Shoemaker Thornton; his children, Gary Zornes (Shaina) of Maysville, KY., Myrissa Boyd (Lamont) of Maysville, KY. and Harley Wenz (CJ) of Maysville, KY.; and his grandchildren, Lorelai Zornes and Samuel Wenz.
