He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Calver "R. C." and Mary Gifford (McDonald); and his children, Richard Davis Gifford and Tara Ray Gifford. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gifford (Davis); his sons, Dean "Dino" Harrison Gifford (Tina) of Maysville and Terry "Butch" Ray Gifford of Aberdeen; his grandchildren, Rachel Gifford, Kasey Gifford, Russ Gifford, Harley Gifford (Katie), Ryan Gifford, Tori Thomas (Tay) and Donnie Gifford, II (Mary); and his sister Sue Newell of Columbus, OH.. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope or Ripley Nazarene Church.
