As Carl Alfred departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carl Alfred may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carl Alfred leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl "Dot" Gilbert and Daisy Sweet Gilbert; and his wife Linda Sue Daniels Gilbert. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Bolden (Dale) of Mays Lick, Julie Gamez (Mario) of Maysville, Teresa Gilbert of Maysville, Terry Gilbert (Leanna) of Maysville, Tommy Gilbert of Maysville and Charles Gilbert (Susie) of Cowan, Kentucky. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brell & Son Funeral Home (620 E 2nd St, Maysville, KY 41056). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
