She was predeceased by: her husband Ruben Matheny; her siblings, J. C. Ray, Shirley Beach and Kathlene Wright; and her parents, Tilmon Ray and Ora Mae Goodin Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Matheny (Kathy) of Mayfield, KY, Arlene Hawkins (Michael Bruce) of Mayfield, KY and Debbie Sue Wilson (Dale) of Wingo, KY; her brothers, Ronnie Ray of Benton, KY and Kenneth Ray of Springfield, MO; and her grandchildren, Brad Powers, Chad Powers, Mitzi Stanley, Sara Clark, Jay Matheny and Sheena Skaggs. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
