He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Speed and Ruth Haley Speed; and his siblings, Robert Speed, Gary Speed, Sherlene Bowlin, Nancy Speed and Regina Speed.
He is survived by: his children, Cory Shane Speed (Dorothy Ann Willett), Carrie Engard (Jesse) and Amanda Speed (Robert Tynes); his sisters, Carolyn Nelson, Clear Springs and Linda Mohler (Christine Watts); and his grandchildren, Kiah Speed, Karissa Speed, Kiley Engard, Khloe Engard, Kaleigh Tynes, Kaleb Tynes and Konner Tynes (Kennedy Tynes).
