She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Mathis; her siblings, J. W. Gilbert and Louise Hazelwood; and her parents, Johnnie Gilbert and Mollie Bertha Gilbert (Bush).
She is survived by: her son Wayne Courtney of Mayfield; her siblings, Glenda Ellegood Mitchell of Fancy Farm, KY, Charles Gilbert of Bardwell, KY, Richard Neal Gilbert (Elaine) of Bardwell, KY and Quinton Crowder Gilbert of Bardwell, KY; and her grandchildren, Ginger Courtney (Michael Pistone) of Nashville, TN and Chris Courtney of Mayfield.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home - Mayfield (1223 W Broadway, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
