He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Holmes and Jettie Mae Gibson Holmes; and his sisters, Peggie Hughes and Linda Sullivan. He is survived by: his wife Norma Holmes; his children, Debra Jean Higgins of Mayfield, LaCinda Rose Higgins (Chris) of Fancy Farm, Danny Holmes (Vicky) of Mayfield and Michael Shane Holmes (Mishele) of Hickory; his brother Billy Holmes of Mayfield; and his stepchildren, Susan Page (Eddie) of Murray, Tim Brockwell (Lou Ann) of Huntsville, AL and Dale Sims (Tammy) of Cuba. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
