With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roma Simmons of Mayfield, Kentucky, born in Melber, Kentucky, who passed away on March 25, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Greenville and Florence Etta Parker Riley; her son Jerry Swen Simmons; and her sisters, May Novella Riley Courtney, Lola Mae Riley Smith and Helen Delean Riley Mayo.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Charles Simmons; her children, Rick Simmons (Debbie) of Palmersville, TN, Tonya Simmons and Shanna Burgess (Jonathan) of Murray; her daughter-in-law Sonia Morehead (Mickey); her grandchildren, Justin Simmons (Stephanie), Kaci Hills (Michael), Whitney Simmons, Dalton Simmons, Brooke Burgess, Josh Leo (Danza), Chris Leo (Tonya), Derrick Houston (Kaity) and Jessica Young (Austin); and her great grandchildren, Zachery Simmons, London Simmons, Vera Simmons, Ashton Leo, Aubrey Leo, Brody Leo, Bronner Leo, Bridger Leo, Cooper Hills, Carson Hills, Skylar Sanford, Maddox Houston, Jude Houston, Houston Young, Anniston Young and Annika Young. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
