It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert A. Sparks of Mayfield, Kentucky, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Judy DeBorde; his sister-in-law Carolyn Lowe Sparks; and his parents, Arnold L. Sparks and Birdie Moore Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Connie Fowler Sparks; his children, Steve Sparks (Andrea) of Nashville, TN and Lori Frericks (Ken) of Louisville, KY; his stepsons, Jared Gibson (Jennifer) of Mayfield, KY and Justin Gibson of Mayfield, KY; his siblings, Don Sparks (Nancy) of Mayfield, KY and Shirley Spillman (Bob) of Louisville, KY; and his grandchildren, Ryan Sparks, Andrew Sparks, Elizabeth Frericks and Sara Frericks.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Byrn Funeral Home (1020 Paris Rd, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
