He was predeceased by: his father Charles Edward Poindexter. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Poindexter of Mayfield, KY; his sons, Richard Alan Poindexter, Jr. of Farmington, KY and Cole Poindexter of Bowling Green, KY; his mother Shirley Perry of Mayfield, KY; his stepdaughters, Stacey McClure of Benton, KY, Kim Heath of Evansville, IN and Marlis Beach of Mayfield, KY; and his brother Jamie Chambers. He is also survived by eleven Grandchildren.
