As Rachel departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Rachel may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Rachel leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Viniard; her parents, James Robert and Violet Rose (Blalock); her sister Jo Ann Elliott; her granddaughter Allison Burnett; her daughter Gayle; her son-in-law John Bessent; and her grandson-in-law Ricky Sadler.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Burnett (Penny) of Paducah, KY, Mark Burnett (Cindy) of Mayfield, KY, Kay Holifield (Glen) of Mayfield, KY and Martha Gibson (late Joe Pat) of Mayfield, KY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home - Mayfield (1223 W Broadway, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
