Lessie Ruth Finigan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lessie Ruth Finigan of Mayfield, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Finigan; her parents, Joseph Daniel York, Sr. and Lillie Belle Waldon York; her children, Beverly Sanderson, Reba Kerr, James Paul Williams (Bernedette) of Lampasas, TX and Roy Lee Roberts; and her son-in-law Jack Sanderson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Freda Hart (Shane) of Oklahoma City, OK and Nina Seidel (Charles); and her siblings, Lloyd York (Mary) of Eastenollee, GA, Hilda Mewborne (Fred) of Mt. Airy, GA and Betty Parks of Liberty, SC. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20+ great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (1028 New Hope Church Rd, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
