He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Scott and Louise Dowdy Scott; and his stepfather Brantley Prince. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Mathis Scott; his children, David Scott (Tami) of Saltillo, MS, Lisa Scott Larkins (Tim) of Mayfield, KY and Maurita Scott Nesmith (Bill) of Tupelo, MS; his grandchildren, Nick Nesmith, Lindy Gordon, Mary Katherine Newton, Colby Scott and Meredith Scott; and his great grandchildren, Lola Gordon and Isabel Gordon.
