In the vast expanse of eternity, Jim shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jim farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his brother John Hardin Rule; and his parents, James Patrick Rule, Sr. and Mary Francis Sholar Rule. He is survived by: his close friend Doris Diehl; his children, Chris Rule (Amanda) of Cuba, KY, Stephanie Lee (Jamie) of Mayfield, KY, Missy Travis (Michael) of Thompson's Station, TN and Jill Kelly (Brian) of Port Orange, FL; and his siblings, Jason Rule of Mayfield, KY and Barbara Bloom of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Byrn Funeral Home (1020 Paris Rd, Mayfield, KY 42066).
