He was predeceased by: his son Michael Ray; and his parents, Rupert Ray and Ila Mae Pickard Ray. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Wilkerson Ray; his daughter-in-law Susan Ray of Ellicott City, MD; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Matheny (Collin) of Lorain, OH, Alex Ray of Sykesville, MD and Jeff Ray of Japan; and his great grandchild Ryleigh Matheny.
