He is survived by: his children, James David Allen (Joyce) of Wingo, KY, Bonnie Denise Allen of Mayfield, KY and Melissa Coleman of Almo, KY.; his grandchildren, James William Allen (Whitney) of Farmington, KY, James David Jr. Allen (Danielle) of Mayfield, KY, Dustin Boles (Whitney) of Wingo, KY, Morgan Willie of Murray, KY and Alex Willie of Mayfield, KY.; his great grandchildren, Adrienna Allen, Samuel Allen, Gunner Allen, Caroline Allen, Lydia Allen, Brinley Boles, Greason Boles, Keagan Boles, Kinsley Boles, Bryson Scott, Cameryn Scott, Claire Sudduth and Anna Mae Sudduth; and his sister Nancy Vanvuren of Martin, TN..

A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at the Pryorsburg Community Fellowship Cemetery (7059 US-45, Mayfield, KY 42066).
