He was predeceased by: his brother Jimmie Allen Gargus; and his parents, Burnett Gargus and Mildred Parham Gargus. He is survived by: his wife Bettye Boyd Gargus; his daughter Elaine Gargus Cannella (John) of Ellicott City, MD; his sister Carolyn Langford (Odell); his nephews, David Gargus (Jodi), Mark Gargus (Judy), Andy Gargus (Megan) and Mike Hamilton (Cindy); and his niece Dianne Day (Todd).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Byrn Funeral Home (1020 Paris Rd, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
