He is survived by: his mother Mary Sue Doran Cates of Sedalia, KY; his children, Karson Ray Cates of Mayfield, KY, Corie Young (Dustin) of Mayfield, KY and Kayla Turner (Kyle) of Mayfield, KY; his stepson Kameron Conley of Sunfield, MI; his siblings, Mike Cates (Jennifer) of Sedalia, KY and Mary Beth Cates of Sedalia, KY; and his grandchildren, Coleman Amis, Emma Cate Young, Nora Cate Turner and Corbin Young. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
