She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar Hylan Thorp; her daughters, Patricia Blalock and Terri Puckett; and her siblings, Verna Henson, Maxine Young, Gerald Davis and George Davis.

She is survived by: her son Dwight Thorp of Sedalia, KY; and her half-siblings, Lowell Thomas Davis, Vickie Davis Smith and Mary Davis Galloway. She is also survived by three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
