He is survived by: his wife Diane Ellegood Lynch; his children, Billie Lofton (Mark) of Benton, Jennifer Higgins (Jerry) of Hickory, Michael Sams (Kay) of Fancy Farm and Jason Sams (Joleen) of Fancy Farm; and his grandchildren, Andrew Lofton, Mark Lofton, Maria Lofton, Jessica Ballard, JD Higgins, Aaron Higgins, Amanda Higgins, Robert Sams, Timothy Sams and Ashley Sams. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
