He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Amanda Sims; his brothers, Charlie Sims and Jimmy Sims; and his parents, Truman Sims and Tennie Breedlove Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki King Sims; his children, Chad Lee Sims and Shelly Dawn Sims Lovelace (Glen III) of Seaford, DE; his siblings, Terry Sims of Water Valley, KY and Norma Viniard of Murray, KY; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Sims Doty (Colin), Victoria Lovelace, Sophia Lovelace and Joshua Voss (Vanessa). He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
