With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Derek Gilbert of Mayfield, Kentucky, who passed away on December 10, 2021 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Pam Gilbert; and his grandparents, Jesse and Doris Lancaster. He is survived by: his children, Jaden Gilbert, Draven Gilbert of Mayfield, KY and Daeanyra Travis (Mitchell) of Sedalia, KY. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
