He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Simmons and Rose Simmons; his sister Sylvia Jean Simmons; his sister-in-law Donna Simmons; and his parents-in-law, Billy and Jewel Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Miller Simmons; his children, Diana Elrod of Kevil, KY, Mandy Youngblood (Jason) of Murray, KY, David Simmons (Teresa) of Bell Buckle, TN and Adam Simmons (Sarah) of Brentwood, TN; his grandchildren, Madisen Elrod, Kristen Youngblood, Thomas Simmons, Isaac Elrod (Sydney), Zeke Elrod, Cameron Youngblood, Kyla Elrod, Elin Simmons, Bennett Simmons and Miller Simmons; his siblings, Rebecca Lytle and Bob Simmons of Tallmadge, OH; his brother-in-law Mike Miller of Louisville, KY.; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Simmons, Kim Holtzapple, Marti Griffith, Rob Simmons, Kevin Simmons and Matthew Simmons.
