She was predeceased by: her husband Owen McKendree Clemmons; her siblings, Robert E. Thorpe and Jeanette Thorpe Sarten; and her parents, Robert L. Thorpe and Laura Foster Thorpe.

She is survived by: her children, Bill Clemmons (Anne) of Mayfield, KY and Sally Mercer (John) of Memphis, TN; and her grandchildren, Dave Higgins, Chad Higgins, Laura Neely, Owen Mercer and Bennett Mercer. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
