He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Burkeen Sr. and Nellie Copeland Burkeen; his son Jerry Burkeen; his siblings, Billy Burkeen, Lurleen Ray and Helen Russelberg; and his nieces, Rhonda Brittian and Joy Cullen.
He is survived by: his wife Marion "Marilyn" Schumaker Burkeen; his son Jason Burkeen (Jessica) of Mayfield, KY; his siblings, Aubrey Burkeen Jr. of Mayfield, KY, Bobby Burkeen (Becky) of Mayfield, KY and Frances Scoggins (Neil) of Mayfield, KY; and his granddaughters, Abby Rust and Chloe Rust. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
