He was predeceased by: his wife Pat Hardison; his parents, Parvin Hardison and Ruby Britain Hardison; his son Dennis Hardison; and his brothers, William and James Hardison.

He is survived by: his daughters, Robin Redden (David) of Folsomdale and Debbie Simpson of Mayfield.
