He was predeceased by: his sister Joyce Grooms Oakes; and his parents, Ralph Grooms and Annie Lindsey Grooms. He is survived by: his siblings, Tony Grooms of Murray, KY and Jo Ann G. Anderson (John) of Mayfield, KY. He is also survived by five nieces; and four nephews.
