He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline Covington Copeland; his sister Barbara Ann Taylor; and his parents, Chauncy "Chink" Copeland and Adell Copeland Norman. He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Copeland of Benton, KY and Mary Caroline Greenwood of Mayfield, KY. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
