She was predeceased by: her husband John Presley Holmes, Jr.; her brother Gervis Crouch; her parents, Walter Crouch and Bessie Sawyer Crouch; her stepmother Daisy Holifield; and her grandchild Amiya Mahkina Watkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Johnny Holmes III (Laura) of Ladson, SC, Steve Holmes (Conita) of Mayfield, KY, Dwayne Holmes (Wendy) of Mayfield, KY, Chris Holmes (Rena) of Mayfield, KY and Robin Holmes (Tracy) of Water Valley, KY. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
