He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Kidd and Phoebe Collins Kidd; and his siblings, Cecil, Willie, Rufford, Luther, Worley Kidd, Betty Hunter, Minta Kidd, Myra Ellen Thomas, Mary Lyons and Artie Kidd.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Elizabeth Ousley Kidd; his daughters, Lou Lawson (Jeff) of Dana, KY, Debbie Osborn (Roger) of Stanville, KY and Ada Slusher (Ricky) of Pikeville, KY; his sisters, Vara Margaret Hamilton of New London, OH and Hazel Hamilton of Harold, KY; and his grandchildren, Mary Caudill (Aaron), Katherine Pruitt (Coey), Emily Adams (Darren), Brittany Potter (Kevin), Brandon Osborn (Hannah), Angel Dye (Shane), Steve Lawson (Kristi) and Joe Lawson (Maggie). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home (331 KY-122, Martin, KY 41649). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the Ransom & Betty Kidd Family Cemetery.
