He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Wallen and Mary May Robinson Wallen; and his brothers, Richard, Jim, James, Jack, Thomas, Bobby, Ernie and Bill Wallen.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Eugene Yates of Ligon, KY, Eric Gene Yates of Ivel, KY and Cristy Stephens (Nick); and his siblings, Michael Sherman Wallen of Ivel, KY and Shirley Ousley of Prestonsburg, KY. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
