With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Samons of Martin, Kentucky, born in McDowell, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 7, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John; her parents, James and Emma; and her son Jeffery Samons. She is survived by: her children, Terry Samons Sevierville, Linda Bartrum (Walter), Donna Gail Bartrum (John) and Melissa Ann Martin (Matt); her daughter-in-law Beverly Samons; her grandchildren, Stacy, John, Charla, Nick, Rossi, Kate, Jon-Ross and Bret; her great grandchildren, Charles, Jordan, Bryson, Gage, Jenna, Luke, Malia, Maddox, Maverick, Ava, Lily, Leon and Kendall; her sister Jenny Alley; her granddaughter Terra Marie Samons; her daughter-in-law Rebecca Samons; and her sister Jacquline Jones.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home (331 KY-122, Martin, KY 41649). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the Blueberry Hill Cemetery.
