He is survived by: his mother Sandra Clouse Childers of Martin, KY; his children, John Childers of Deane, KY, Luke Childers, Samantha Portwood (Ryan) of Pikeville, KY, Hope Maggard (Alan) and Heather Childers (Kyle James); his sister Deborah Childers; his grandchildren, Mylah James, Grayson, Revan and Piper Maggard; his niece Shala Childers (Eric Grass); and his pets, Buddy and Bridgette.
