He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar Crisp and Martha "Mattie" Conley Crisp; his daughter Linda Carroll Crisp; and his siblings, David Arnold Crisp, James Herbert Crisp, Carl Crisp, Eddie Randolph Crisp, Billy Joel Crisp and Imogene Crisp.
He is survived by: his sons, Loren Dale Crisp of Paintsville and Joel Edward Crisp (Mary) of San Diego, California; his granddaughter Jennifer Dawn Crisp-Timmermann (Tom); and his great grandchild Caelin Laurel Timmermann.
