The memory of Bonita Compton of Martin, Kentucky, who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 65, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She is survived by: her sister Dr. Susan E. Compton of Seymour, Connecticut; her nephew Dr. Justin B. Newsome of Louisville, Kentucky; her aunt Bonnie Williams of Boise, Idaho; and also Julianne Perry of Paintsville.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Allen Central High School (442 KY-550, Eastern, KY 41622).
For those that may not want to send flowers, the family suggests and requests that contributions be made to the Appalachian Hospice Care or the Basketball Scholarships/endowment foundation in her name.
