He was predeceased by: his parents, Lundy Hill and Lizzie Cantrell Hill; his wife Carol Jean Gillum Hill; his sisters, Geneva Fyffe and Pauline Craft; his grandson Colten Robertson; and his great grandchild A. J. Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Hill (Missy), Andy Hill (Stacey), Bobby Hill, Debbie Gunsenhouser (Harry), Kimberly Powers (Bobby), Johnda Barnett (Randy), Caroletta Hunt (Darrell), Misty Robertson (Brandon) and Christy May (Casey); and his siblings, Clay Hill (Delores), Newell B. Hill, James Hill (Wanda), Eugene Hill (Tia), Stanley Hill (Sherry), Tony Hill (Pam) and Geraldine Hill (Donald). He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
