He was predeceased by: his brother Devirne Girdler; and his parents, Roy Girdler and Janice Girdler. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Girdler; and his children, Travis Girdler (Amber), Mathew Girdler, Steven Girdler, Daniel Borkosky (Sunni), Adam Borkosky, Douglas Girdler, Jr. and Krista Rowland.
