He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Sherer and Pearl Sherer; and his siblings, Ollie Sullenger, Lucille Moore, Mildred Jones, Pauline Stalions, Dorothy Bebout, Blonda Minner and Brownie Bebout.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Sherer; and his sons, Dwight Sherer (Mayree) of Marion, KY and Jim Sherer of Marion, KY.

Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
