He was predeceased by: his stepfather George Nicholson. He is survived by: his wife Susan Gilland of Marion, KY; his children, Shawn Gipson of Booneville, IN, Cody of Murray, KY and Wyatt Gipson of Murray, KY; his grandchildren, Aubrie and Olivia Gipson; his parents, Charles David Gipson, Sr. (Linda) and Mary Wilma Nicholson; his siblings, Robert Gipson, Charlie, James Duncan and Jenny Duncan; his niece Nikki Atwell; and his nephew Jamie Atwell.
