He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Cecil LaPlant; his son Allan; his mother Elsie Jackson LaPlant; his sisters, Shirley Ann and Cecilia Jean; his former wife Sheila Dick; his children, Mischelle Leigh, Cecile Renee and Jacqueline Janel; his friends, Jim Allison and Ron Sumner; his stepmother Mildred; his close friend Steve Manker; his daughter Dominique Nicole; and also, Richard and Edith Hall. He was also cherished by eight granddaughters, seven grandsons, six great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters, and one great-great-granddaughter.
