He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Salyers and Edith Salyers (Davis); and his sister Debbie Salsbury. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Salyers (Skean) of Mannsville; his children, David Salyers, Jr. (Bobbie Jo) of Campbellsville, Dereck Salyers (Courtney Reliford) of Elk Horn and Tosha Marie Salyers-Miller of Elk Horn; his siblings, Diane Salyers, Vicky Byrd of Mannsville, Ricky Salyers (Brenda), Timmy Salyers of Liberty, Daril Salyers (Frances) of Roley and Jerome Salyers (Kim) of Liberty; his grandchildren, Blake, Jessica, Colin, Isiah, Dylan, Cecilia, Jewels, Emily and Chesney; and his close friends, Georgetta Elam, James Skean and Mary Ann Sanders. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Due to efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and recent requirements implemented by the Office of Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, all funeral services will be performed privately.
