He was predeceased by: his father Claude Riggs; his son Michael Trent Riggs; and his siblings, Francis Sissy Riggs Cox, David, George, Eugene, William, Charlie and Bob Riggs.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Hook Riggs; his sons, Ben Riggs of Manitou, KY and Tim Riggs (Sherri) of Madisonville, KY; and his grandchildren, Ben Riggs, Jennifer Young, Adam Riggs, Derek Riggs, Katelyn Lester and Kendall Riggs. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
