He was predeceased by: his parents, Atwood Stivers and Grace Stivers; his siblings, Charles Bertram Stivers and Elizabeth Jane Stivers; and his friend Roy Sizemore.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Betty Grubb Stivers of Manchester, KY; his daughter Christie Stivers May (Tilden); and his grandsons, Christopher Asher, Cooper Asher, Rex Sizemore, Cletus Miracle and Wayne Jones.
