He was predeceased by: his parents, John Root and Viola Root; and his children, Bessie Renee Root and Randall Gene Root Graveside. He is survived by: his wife Pat Hobbs Root; and his siblings, John Root, Ed Root, Jim Root, Lillie Tedders and Debbie Tedders.
