He was predeceased by: his parents, William Minton and Mary Minton (Cheek); and his siblings, Amos Minton, Ernest Minton, Arnold Minton, Estill Minton, Janie Bowman, Nola Bowman and Cleo Minton.
He is survived by: his brother Denver Minton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
According to the Governor's COVID mandate, funeral service, visitation and burial will be private.
