He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Davidson Collins; his parents, Henry Collins and Vinney Collins; and his siblings, Marie Frost, Betty Jean Collins, Myrtle Collins, Martha Collins and Aurie Couch.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Napier; his stepchildren, Moe Smith, Marshall Smith, Larry Smith and Vernon Jr.; his brothers, Elmer Ray Collins of Garrard and Carlo Collins of Fishtrap; and his nieces, Mackenzie Hatfield, Sharon Hatfield and Karen Lawson. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews; and a host of grandchildren and step grandchildren.
